People always ask how ONTHEMARC came to be. Enter Beginnings: How the Party Started, ONTHEMARC’s first cookbook.

Beginnings is filled with recipes for small, starter bites; something we believe we do extremely well. Sprinkle in some stories about how we started, how we grew and where we’re going, and you have a colorful history of the first decade of ONTHEMARC. The outcome of the last three years of highs, lows, laughs, and lulls has culminated in something of which we are extremely proud.

The (hilarious) foreword is written by Rob Burnett, five-time Emmy Award winning producer, director and writer, best known for his role as executive producer of The Late Show with David Letterman. Rob’s most recent project is writing and directing The Fundamentals of Caring starring Paul Rudd, Craig Roberts and Selena Gomez.

 

ABOUT THE RECIPES

The recipes in this book are purposefully unadulterated, commercial kitchen recipes.

We’ve done our best to reduce the quantities for the at-home cook, but we have largely preserved the authenticity of our methods and measurements. You will come across special tools you might need, techniques you may need to practice and a variety of ways to measure ingredients.

We’ve chosen to present the recipes to you this way not to make your life harder, but to accurately depict ours. Professional cooking is a team sport and all of my chefs, with their varying experience and backgrounds, contribute to our recipes. To translate them into simpler, perhaps less accurate, recipes would defeat the purpose of our mission. We want you to join us in our kitchen in hopes of bringing out your inner pro chef.

MARC WEBER

Founder

Marc Weber began his professional career as a Private Chef, curating small elaborate dinner parties for his clients. He is now a seasoned chef and entrepreneur with over a decade of experience in the culinary industry. He founded ONTHEMARC in 2006 with a singular focus: to make people happy.

Currently, Marc primarily oversees ONTHEMARC and pursues new business with clients, vendors, and venues. He has grown the company into a multi-million-dollar catering business with a growing list of exclusive venues across the Tri-State area. Marc serves as part owner at The Inn at Longshore by ONTHEMARC in Westport, CT. Under his guidance, The Inn at Longshore underwent a stunning transformation from simple wedding event space to an elegant and tasty event experience.

Marc is a proud graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. The Greenwich Wine + Food Festival named Marc one of 2017’s Most Innovative Chefs and his career and company have been covered in Stamford Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, LOOK, Serendipity Magazine and more.

In addition to his professional career, Marc is an avid amateur farmer, exotic car fanatic, and budding photographer. He is a loving husband to Erica and dad to Ethan and Elodie.
